Dry Eye Assessment

High Res Retinal Imaging
Eye diseases can often be detected at an early stage if high-resolution images of the retina are available.
If you have a family history of any ocular diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma or other retinal conditions, it’s probably time to visit our office.
On arrival, your retina can be assessed thoroughly; we use a trusted Topcon Zeiss with a Nikon camera to document retinal findings. This can also be used to monitor the progression of certain eye conditions. We will recommend this for you should we feel that you need it.
Eye Health Test
We perform comprehensive fundus and anterior eye examinations as a standard of our practice.
Moreover, our staff routinely check your vision. We prefer to focus on prevention rather than cure. All our doctors are trained at The University of Melbourne with therapeutical endorsement.
We also offer Orthokeratology, children’s eye assessments, post-operative care, detection and management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and management of diabetes eye problems.

Colour Vision Test
Colour blindness can be difficult to detect, particularly in children with inherited colour vision deficiency. The child may be unaware of any problems with their colour vision. In some cases, a child with a severe condition, such as deuteranopia, may seemingly be able to accurately identify colours they can’t see (e.g. red). This is because they have been taught the colour of objects from an early age. For example, they will know that grass is green, and strawberries are red even if they have no concept of their true colours.
There are many tests available to measure colour vision defects. The most common is the Ishihara Plate test.
Visual Field
During a routine eye exam, some eye doctors may want to determine through visual field testing the full horizontal and vertical range of what you are able to see peripherally. This range is commonly referred to as “side vision”.
Visual field tests assess the potential presence of blind spots (scotomas), which could indicate eye diseases. A blind spot in the field of vision can be linked to a variety of specific eye diseases, depending on the size and shape of the scotoma.
